Madelaine Ross, contemporary landscape painter was born on Vancouver Island. She has lived, worked and studied throughout British Columbia before returning to Victoria in 2012.
She began her art studies at Emily Carr College of Art and Design and continued her studies at Kootenay School of the Arts honing skills in a variety of mediums. Since 2012 her work has focused on painting representational landscapes in oil based on sketches and plein air work. She is inspired by natural forms ranging from mountains, to bodies of water, west coast trees and cloudscapes. Her exhibition history includes solo and group exhibitions in Vancouver, the Kootenays, Saipan and Victoria. Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the U.S.A. and Japan.
